Benue State Commissioner for Information, Culture, and Tourism, Mr. Mathew Abo, who was abducted by gunmen on September 24 has been released.
The gunmen arrived at Abo’s residence Zaki-Biam with four motorcycles ordering everyone in the house, including his wife and children, to lie face down before taking him to an unknown destination.
According to sources close to the matter, Abo was reunited with his family in the early hours of Thursday.
They also confirmed that he was in good health.

However, It was unclear whether or not any ransom was paid for his release.
