Among freed inmates were all suspected Boko Haram insurgents.
The Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) had released the names and pictures of the suspects.
However, eagle-eyed operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) nabbed the fleeing inmate, Suleiman Sidi, on Monday.
Sidi was nabbed at the Area 1 motor park while attempting to board a commercial vehicle to Maiduguri, Borno State.
Upon search by NDLEA operatives, he was caught with wraps of cannabis sativa.
During preliminary interview, Sidi confirmed that he was remanded at the Medium Security Correctional Centre in Kuje.
He is also number four on the list released by the NCoS over the weekend and is facing charges bordering on terrorism and robbery.
NDLEA Chairman, Brig. Gen. Buba Marwa (Retd) has directed his transfer to the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS).
