BREAKING: Labour Party Names Akin Osuntokun New Campaign DG
Labour Party Nigeria has appointed former Political Adviser to President Olusegun Obasanjo, Mr. Akin Osuntokun as the new Director-General of the Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign.
Akin’s appointment was announced on Tuesday by the Labour Party Chairman, Julious Abure, in Abuja.
According to Abure, the decision was reached after wide consultations with party stakeholders across board.

Who is Akin Osuntokun?
Akin Osuntokun is a Nigerian political scientist, strategist, researcher, administrator, journalist and writer, with experience in media advocacy, policy research and implementation and political analysis.
A former Managing Director of the News Agency of Nigeria, Osuntokun served as Political Adviser to former President Olusegun Obasanjo, and as Director of the Presidential campaign of the People’s Democratic Party in 2011.
He has sat on the board of several public corporations and also contributes to newspaper columns.
He replaces embattled Doyin Okupe, who as Director-General of the Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign Council.
Okupe had resigned his position last week following a conviction by the court over fraudulent practices.
