The Organised Labour has called off its proposed nationwide strike.
Daily Report Nigeria reports that the calling off of the strike action is coming barely 24 hours after labour unions commenced a nationwide protest on Wednesday.
The cancellation of the industrial action was announced by the President of Trade Union Congress, Festus Osifo during an interview with Arise News on Thursday morning.
According to Osifo, Labour leaders extracted a high level of commitment from President Bola Tinubu’s comments during their meeting on Wednesday night.

Osifo added that the President assured of immediately implementing some of the issues raised in the meeting.
Daily Report Nigeria recalls that part of the promises made by President Tinubu during Wednesday’s meeting include provision of CNG-powered public vehicles to assist mobility, upward review of workers wages as well as the commencement of operations by the Port Harcourt Refinery.
