Breaking: LG Chairman Dies in Rivers | Daily Report Nigeria

The executive chairman of Bonny Local Government Area in Rivers State, Mr. David Irimagha, is dead, Daily Report Nigeria can confirm.

The late Council chairman reportedly died late Friday night at an undisclosed hospital in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.

Until his death, Irimagha was just four months into his second term as council chairman.

Though the family is yet to make an official announcement, his demise was announced by Ngowari Kalio on Facebook.

Prior to his death, the deceased was faced with the challenge of ending insecurity, especially piracy and kidnapping along the Bonny waterways in Rivers State.
