The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and celebrity barman, Cubana Chief Priest, have reached an out-of-court settlement in the naira abuse case brought against him.

The development comes after Cubana Chief Priest was granted bail in the sum of N10 million with two sureties in like sum by the Federal High Court in Lagos State on April 17.

He had been arraigned before Justice Kehinde Ogundare on a three-count charge of naira abuse, spraying, and tampering with the national currency at a social event, contrary to the provisions of the Central Bank Act of 2007.

The socialite was accused of spraying the naira on February 13, 2024, at Eko Hotel, sparking controversy and legal action.
