The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has officially announced Finidi George as the new head coach of the Super Eagles.
Daily Report Nigeria reports that the 53-year-old was introduced at a ceremony held at the NFF secretariat in Abuja on Monday, attended by notable figures including Sports Minister John Enoh, NFF President Ibrahim Gusau, and Secretary General Mohammed Sanusi.

The unveiling marks the beginning of Finidi’s tenure as head coach of the three-time African champions.
Previously, he served as an assistant coach under Jose Peseiro for 20 months and briefly took charge as caretaker coach for friendlies against Ghana and Mali in March.

Finidi’s first official match as head coach will be against South Africa’s Bafana Bafana next month, a highly anticipated encounter that will set the tone for his reign.
