Members of the Niger Delta Students Union Government on Wednesday staged a protest at the gate of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND), abuja, against an alleged underfunding of higher institutions in the Niget Delta region.

The students led by Comrade Romeo Kemepade Emieye, sang solidarity songs as they called for the administration of TETFUND to attend to their demands of proper education in the region.

The protest has led to a blockade of the Zambesi Crescent as motorist have been held to a gridlock.

Efforts of security operatives to quell the situation has yielded no results as at press time.
