  • Nigeria has once again been thrown into darkness as the National grid collapse again.

  • This new collapse, which occurred on Tuesday, October 15, marks the second in 24 hours.

The Nation power grid has collapsed, throwing millions of citizens and businesses into darkness.

This recent collapse, which is reported to have happened around 09:17 am on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 makes it the second collapsw in 24 hours.

Daily Report Nigeria recalls that the first collapse happened on Monday, disrupting power distributions.

Although efforts are being made to repair and fix the issue with the power grid, Nigerians have expressed concerns and frustration at the credibility of the Nigerian power distribution companies, as well as the national power infrastructure.

Confirming the incident, the Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC) said,

Dear Valued Customer, Kindly be informed there was a system collapse at 09:17 hrs which has resulted to a loss of power supply across our network

“We are currently working with our partners as we hope for speedy restoration of the grid. We will keep you updated as soon as power supply is restored,
