Hilda Baci Breaks World’s Cooking Record
Nigerian chef, Hilda Effiong Bassey, better known as Hilda Baci, has broken the world record on the longest time spent on cooking.
Hilda Baci is in pursuit of completing 96 hours of cooking non-stop in her ongoing Cook-a-Ton marathon.
As of press time, the chef has already cooked for 88 hours, surpassing the current Guinness World Record for the “longest cooking marathon by an individual”.

The current Guinness World Record is which stands at 87 hours 45 minutes is currently held by Hindi chef, Lata Tondon, who set the mark in 2019.

Hilda began her cooking marathon on Thursday after as the turned on her cooker at 4pm and surpassed the current world record holder on Monday morning, completing four days of cooking at a go.
Baci’s cooking marathon is currently ongoing at Amore Gardens in Lekki, Lagos State.

In her ongoing record-breaking attempt, Nigerians, including several celebrities defied the rain to physically cheer up the visibly tired chef.
