The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu has bowed to the demands of Nigerians was pdisbands the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad, FSARS.

The unit of the Nigerian Police Force had been largely accused of extortion, intimidation, and 0qmurder of many young innocent Nigerians.

The IGP Mohammed Adamu announced the dissolution of the dreaded police unit on Sunday during a press conference in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.

His announcement follows a series of protests calling for the disbanment of the unit with the hashtag #ENDSARS trending on Tweeter globally for the best part of the last seven days.
