Nollywood actor, Saint Obi is dead.

Real name Obinna Nwafor, Saint Obi died after a battle with an unspecified illness.

The movie star is said to have died almost a week ago at his sister’s home in Jos, the Plateau state capital.

However, his demise was only made public by colleagues on Saturday.

Saint Obi is said to have died on Sunday May 7, 2023 following a prolonged battle with an undisclosed ailment.

The body of the 57-year-old was subsequently deposited in a morgue at the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH).

The late star was known for his role in blockbuster movies including ‘Candle Light’, ‘Goodbye Tomorrow’ and ‘State of Emergency’.

Saint Obi gained prominence in 1996 after doing a commercial for Peugeot on NTA and went on to feature in more than 100 movies including ‘Sakobi’, ‘Festival of Fire’, other popular films.
