Governor Bagudu Withdraws From APC Presidential Race

Governor Abubakar Badaru of Jigawa State, has withdrawn from 2023 presidential race of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Badaru’s withdrawal followed the agreement by Northern governors of the APC to shift power to the South after President Muhammadu Buhari.

In a statement on Saturday signed by 11 Northern governors and other leaders of the party, all presidential aspirants from the North were asked to withdraw from the contest.

Badaru, who also signed the statement has become the first to follow the advise his colleagues and elders.
