The Deputy Speaker of Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon Dare Kadiri has been impeached by his colleagues.
Kadiri who represents Ijebu North State Constituency 2 was impeached over an alleged “gross misconduct.”
Recall that at least 22 colleagues of the lawmaker signed a petition for his removal.

Attempts to sack Kadiri gathered more momentum on Monday following the setting up of an ad-hoc Committee Rt Hon Kunle Oluomo, the Ogun Speaker I’m a bid to investigate the allegations labeled against him.
Daily Report Nigeria learnt that a major part of allegations labeled against Kadiri centred around around “gross misconduct.”
A respond in writing was expected to be made by Hon Kadiri to the Investigation Committee led by Hon. Yusuff Sherrif.
Kadiri was eventually impeached on Thursday morning at the floor of the House during plenary.
