Just a few hours after the impeachment of Oyo state deputy governor, Mr Rauf Olaniyan by the state Parliament, it has approved a new replacement, Adebayo Lawal.
The Oyo State House of Assembly on Monday approved the appointment of Adebayo Lawal as the new Deputy Governor after receiving a letter from Governor Seyi Makinde seeking the Assembly’s approval of his nomination of Lawal as the deputy governor.

The letter was read by Speaker of the Assembly, Honourable Adebo Ogundoyin.
