The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Barr Peter Mbah, has been declared winner of the Enugu governorship election.

Mbah was declared winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission at the Enugu Collation Centre on Monday.

He polled a total of 174,289 votes ahead of his closest rival Cbijioke Edeoga of the Labour Party who scored 157,542 votes.

INEC Declares Abdullahi Sule Nasarawa Governor-Elect

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has declared Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State as winner of Saturday’s governorship election.

According to results announced by INEC, Abdullahi Sule of the All Progressives Congress (APC) polled 347,209 votes to secure a second term.

Ishaya Tanko, the INEC returning officer and Vice Chancellor of University of Jos, made the declaration on Monday in Lafia at the state collation centre.

Abdullahi’s closest rival and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, David Ombugadu, came second with 283,016 votes, while Abubakar Maidoya of NNPP came third with 11,726 votes.
