The presidential candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi, has won the last Saturday’s presidential election in Delta State.
Obi defeated the State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, who is the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) vice presidential candidate.
The Delta State Presidential Election Collation Officer (SCOPE), Prof. Owunari Abraham Georgewill, of the University of Port-Harcourt, on Tuesday at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) State headquarters in Asaba, made the declaration.
The Labour Party candidate scored 341,866 votes, while Atiku Abubakar of the PDP garnered 161,600 votes.
Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) came a distant third with 90,183 votes.
