Mr Julius Abure, the National Chairman of the Labour Party (LP), has been arrested by police.
According to reports, Abure was arrested on Wednesday in Benin City, Edo State for yet an unclear reason.
However, it has been reported that Abure’s arrest is linked to the recent crisis within the party.

Abure has faced intense scrutiny lately due to allegations of embezzling over N3 billion in party funds.
