Armed police officers deployed to stop the planned peaceful #OccupyLekkiTollgate have arrested Popular comedian Debo Adebayo aka Mr Macaroni and several others as the first batch of protesters arrived at the tollgate.
The protest, tagged #OccupyLekkiTollgate, scheduled to begin at 7 a.m. Saturday, was against the reopening of the tollgate, as #EndSARS protesters insisted that the toll gate cannot reopen until victims of October 20, 2020 incident gets justice.
On Friday evening, armed police officers embarked on a show of force across the city, warning Nigerians to desist from the planned protest at the tollgate.

On Saturday morning, dozens of armed police officers were also stationed at the tollgate awaiting arrival of protesters.
After Mr Macaroni was arrested, he went on Livestream and to show to the world what was happening. He was recording until police officers collected his phone and those of others.
