Operatives of the Ekiti Police Command on Wednesday took over the premises of the Ekiti State House of Assembly.

Daily Report Nigeria reports that the security operatives were stationed at strategic locations in a bid to prevent a purported invasion by lawbreakers.

The shutting down of the Ekiti House of Assembly was in line with an alleged plan by some hoodlums to attack the complex.

However, the reason for the purported invasion could not be ascertained as of press time.
