The Buckingham Palace has announced September 19 as the burial date of Queen Elizabeth II.

Daily Report recalls that Queen Elizabeth II died on Thursday, aged 96.

The demise of the monarch has since attracted tributes from prominent personalities and world leaders.

According to Buckingham Palace, the state funeral of Queen Elizabeth II will hold in London at 11 a.m on Monday, September 19.

The public will be availed the opportunity to their last respect as the monarch’s coffin will lie in state in Westminster Hall starting on Wednesday.

Either of the Dean of Westminster or the Archbishop of Canterbury, the senior bishop of the Church of England, is expected to lead the service.

Meanwhile, King Charles III was on Saturday formally proclaimed as King of England.
