BREAKING: Rainstorm Causes 119 Inmates to Escape from Niger Prison | Daily Report Nigeria

A heavy rain on Wednesday night caused severe damage to the Medium Security Custodial Centre in Suleja, Niger State. As a result, 119 inmates escaped.

Adamu Duza, the spokesperson, Federal Capital Territory Command of the Nigerian Correctional Service, disclosed in a statement on Thursday.

Duza revealed that the Nigerian Correctional Service, however, acted immediately to recover the inmates.

According to the Spokesperson, ten escapees have been recovered, and efforts to recapture the remaining inmates are ongoing.
