BREAKING: Residents Protest Fuel Hike, Naira Notes Hoarding In Delta

Some residents including youths, rights activists, motorists, and traders have stormed Asaba, the Delta state capital to protest over petrol price hike, and naira scarcity.

The protesters caused gridlock on major roads having blocked the popular Onitsha/Asaba expressway.

Their request was sanctioned by bank managers in the state for hoarding the new naira notes.

They also demanded President Muhammadu Buhari and Delta State governor, senator Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa to prevail on the fuel marketers and filling station operators to reduce the cost of PMS per litre.

The protest which vowed to continue till their concerns were addressed was led by the Ethiope ADC HOUSE OF REPS candidate Comrade Ukuanovwe, Odimbu.

The angry protesters held placards while chanting for a better Nigeria.
