Attempts to reach the Kaduna State Police Command for clarification were unsuccessful, as calls and messages to official contacts were not responded to at the time of this report. The silence from authorities has only deepened public anxiety, especially within the Christian community.
Residents in the area say the attack underscores the increasing insecurity facing communities in the state. Many are now fearful as the search for the priest continues, with church members holding prayer vigils and hoping for a breakthrough.
