BREAKING: Senate Approves Tinubu's First Request

The Nigerian Senate on Tuesday approved the first request of President Bola Tinubu tendered before it.

Daily Report Nigeria reports that the Red Chamber okayed President Tinubu’s request to appoint 20 Special Advisers.

The letter bearing Tinubu’s request was read at plenary by Senate President Ahmad Lawan.

Meanwhile, Senate Leader, Senator Ibrahim Gobir (APC – Sokoto East) moved a motion for “the Senate do consider the request of Mr. President C-in-C for the approval of the Senate to appoint 20 Special Advisers.”

The motion was seconded by the Senate Minority Leader, Senator Philip Aduda.

The Senate however granted accelerated consideration of the request and promptly approved it.
