Senator Clement Annie Okonkwo has died at the age of 63.
Daily Report Nigeria reports that the former lawmaker died ok Wednesday after a long battle with an undisclosed terminal illness.
Annie Okonkwo’s death is coming just two weeks after he celebrated his 63rd birthday on May 23, 2023.

Family sources who announced his death revealed that the Okonkwo was “recovering after taking proper treatment in the United States of America but relapsed a few days ago and died.”

The deceased was elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to represent the Anambra Central Senatorial Zone in Anambra State in 2007.
Meanwhile, Uchenna Harris Okonkwo, his son, is the House of Representatives Member-Elect for Idemili North and Idemili South Federal Constituencies, Anambra State.
Funeral arrangements for Annie Okonkwo will be announced by the family soon.
