The Supreme Court, on Friday February 11, Nullified the Executive Order 10 on the funding of State Judiciary and Legislature, declared it unlawful and unconstitutional.

Six out of 7-member panel of the court agreed that the President, Major-General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), exceeded his constitutional powers in issuing the Executive Order 10.

The justices also refused to grant an order by the state governors to compel the Federal Government to pay them N66 billion so far spent on capital projects for the three courts in their respective states.
