BREAKING: Supreme Court Orders Co-Existence of Old, New Notes Till Further Notice

BREAKING: Supreme Court Orders Co-Existence of Old, New Notes Till Further Notice | Daily Report Nigeria

The Supreme Court has issued an order stating that the old N200, N500, and N1000 notes will continue to be accepted alongside the new notes until further notice.

According to the Supreme Court, both the old and new notes will remain legal tender until the Federal Government establishes a process for their replacement or redesign, following consultation with relevant stakeholders.

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) had previously announced in mid-November that the old N200, N500, and N1,000 notes would indefinitely remain legal tender.
