The Supreme Court, on Tuesday, reserved its judgement regarding the Plateau State Governorship election.
Governor Caleb Mutfwang had filed a suit seeking to restore his mandate after the March 18, 2023 governorship poll in the state.
The judgement was reserved by John Okoro, who led a five-member panel of justices, after hearing arguments from lawyers representing both parties.
Mutfwang, of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), won the governorship poll in the state with 525,299 votes, defeating the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Nentawe Goshwe, who received 481,370 votes.

While the Plateau State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal upheld Mutfwang’s election, the Court of Appeal in Abuja overturned the victory, leading to his appeal at the Supreme Court.
The apex court is expected to deliver a verdict before January 16, when the appeal will expire.
