BREAKING: Suspended Accountant-General Regains Freedom From EFCC Custody | Daily Report Nigeria

The suspended Accountant-General of the Federation, Ahmed Idris, has been released from the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

Idris was released on bail from the custody of the anti-graft agency on Wednesday night in Abuja and has since been reunited with his family.

According to a family source Mr Ahmed was released on Wednesday night.

Mr Idris was arrested by the operatives of EFCC on May 16 in connection with diversion of funds and money laundering activities to the tune of N84 billion.

Days after he was arrested, Idris was suspended by the Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed, to enable him to face his probe.
