Tajudeen Abbas has been elected Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives.
Abbas, who is the anointed candidate of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), scored 353 votes to ahead of outgoing Deputy Speaker, Ahmed Wase, and Sani Jaji, who scores 3 votes each.

Earlier, Senator Godswill Akpabio and Jibrin Barau were elected Senate President and Deputy Senate President respective.
