Nigeria’s Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, has re-echoed his stance on the infamous Lekki Massacre on October 20, 2020.

Mr. Lai in a press briefing in Abuja on Tuesday insisted that there was no “massacre” at the Lekki toll gate, as reported.

He also described the report by the Lagos State #ENDSARS panel as fake.

Recall that a nine-member panel in its report alleged that at least nine persons were killed when men of the Nigerian Army and police officers arrived at the protest venue to disperse the peaceful and unarmed protesters.

However, Lai Mohammed has now described the allegations by the panel as “tales by moonlight”.

The minister was on international assignment in France when the report was leaked.
