Unidentified thugs on Wednesday, attacked the convoy of the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, in Borno.
Atiku’s convoy was attacked on the way to the venue of the PDP campaign rally in Maiduguri, the Borno state capital.
Supporters of the presidential candidate have labeled the incident as the handiwork of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Neither Atiku nor the PDP were yet to comment on the incident as of press time.
The incident is coming less than 48 hours after supporters of the former Vice President were attacked in Rivers State, with some sustaining injuries.
