President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has ordered Nigeria’s service chiefs to relocate to Maiduguri to take direct control of the security situation following deadly attacks in the area.
The directive comes after coordinated bomb explosions reportedly carried out by suspected Boko Haram insurgents, which left over 20 people dead and more than 100 others injured.

Reacting to the incident, Tinubu described the attacks as desperate attempts by terrorists under pressure from Nigerian forces, assuring citizens that the government would intensify efforts to eliminate criminal elements across the country.
He also commended the military for repelling parts of the attack and disclosed that additional equipment and operational support had already been approved to strengthen security operations.
The President further directed emergency response agencies to provide adequate medical care for the injured, reiterating that no part of Nigeria would be safe for terrorists.
