The Ondo State House of Assembly has been directed by President Bola Tinubu to hand over power to the Deputy Governor of the state, Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

Daily Report Nigeria reports that the President instructed the House to transfer full power to the deputy governor on Monday.

The directive was issued by Tinubu during a meeting he summoned to resolve the ongoing leadership crisis in Ondo.

President Tinubu particularly emphasized that the transfer of power should be conducted without any conditions, as it aligns with the “Doctrine of Necessity.”

According to credible sources, the transfer of power will be done through an electronic signature (e-signature) as the ailing governor is too weak to sign any document.

The decision will allow Governor Akeredolu to take a full medical leave in pursuit of his well-being.
