A passenger train at the railway crossing at Public Works Department (PWD) has crushed a Nigerian Army sergeant, Jidean Samson to death.
It was gathered that the said train was en route to Iddo in Lagos from Ibadan when it eventually collided with the soldier who wanted to cross the rail line on his bike.
An eyewitness confirmed that the deceased was attached to the 9th Brigade in Ikeja, Lagos.

The 9th Brigade military base on the other hand confirmed the death of Samson and moved his body to the Military Hospital mortuary in Yaba, Lagos.

The military source, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, stated that the military authority has been informed of the incident.
Also, checks indicated that the accident was the second of its kind in the same spot in just three months.
