Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the 2023 poll, Atiku Abubakar has rejected the outcome of the tribunal judgment.

Daily Report Nigeria reports that the Presidential Election Petitions Court dismissed the petitions of both Atiku and the PDP for lacking merit.

Reacting to the judgment on Thursday, the former Vice President said the tribunal judgement failed to restore confidence.

Speaking at the ongoing world press conference by the PDP in Abuja, Atiku said;

“Though the judgement of yesterday is respected, it is a judgement I refused to accept. I refused to accept the judgement because I believe it is bereft of substantial justice.”

The verdict passed by the tribunal was also rejected by the Labour Party and its presidential candidate, Peter Obi, as their petitions were also dismissed for lacking merit.

Both parties and their candidates are expected to file an appeal at the Supreme Court.
