Twitter is very closer to selling the micro blogging company to Elon Musk for $43.4bn in what could be one of the largest buyouts in history.

Musk, the world’s richest person according to a tally by Forbes, is negotiating to buy Twitter in a personal capacity and Tesla is not involved in the deal.

Twitter’s board is still meeting to finalise the terms of an agreement with Musk, and a deal could be reached the same day.
