BREAKING: Two Disqualified as PDP Screens 17 Presidential Aspirants

Two presidential aspirants under the Peoples Democratic Party have been disqualified from partaking in the 2023 presidential contest.

This is even as the party screened a combined total of seventeen aspirants on Friday, in Abuja, ahead its primaries billed for May 28 and 29.

The development was revealed by Chairman of the Screening Committee, Senator David Mark, while speaking to journalists shortly after the conclusion of the exercise at Legacy House, Abuja, at 7pm.

The former Senate President, however, refrained from disclosing the identities of the disqualified aspirants and the reasons for their disqualification.

The Benue-born politician simply said that the disqualified aspirants did not meet the needed requirements.

He also confirmed that the report of Friday’s screening will be transmitted to the PDP National Working Committee for consideration tonight.
