Yakubu Maikyau, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), has emerged winner of the Nigerian Bar Association presidential election.
Results released by the Electoral Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association (ECNBA), showed tht only 59,392 lawyers were accredited for the exercise.
The turn out for Saturday’s election is the highest ever ever recorded in the history of the association.

Maikyau scored a total of 22,342 to beat Joe Gazama, who polled 10,842 votes to come second.
Jonathan Taidi, polled 1,373 votes to emerge second runner-up of the exercise.
