An overhead bridge at the New Artisan Market axis in Enugu State collapsed on Monday morning. The bridge was located along the Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway between New Artisan and Naira Triangle in Enugu State. While there were no casualties reported, one lane of the Enugu-Port Harcourt dual carriageway has been blocked by the debris of the collapsed bridge. The incident was disclosed by the Head of Media, Office of the Enugu state governor, Dan Nwomeh via social media. Nwomeh said: “A bridge has collapsed in Enugu along the Enugu – Port Harcourt expressway between New Artisan and Naira Triangle.” Motorists have been advised to avoid the route. He said: “Motorists should please avoid that route.
