Bruno Fernandes Acknowledges Mistakes Despite Portugal’s Victory Over Czech Republic

Bruno Fernandes

Portugal midfielder Bruno Fernandes admitted to making ‘a lot of mistakes’ during his team’s victory against Czech Republic at Euro 2024.

Fernandes played as Portugal secured a 2-1 win over Czech Republic on Tuesday night, with Francisco Conceicao scoring the winning goal in Leipzig.

Speaking in his post-match interview, Fernandes told reporters, “We made a lot of mistakes in the first half, especially me. Taking risks has two sides of the coin. I am aware of this. Midfielders take more risks. But once I can pass the ball, I have a lot of quality in front of me to score a goal. So, I’m not worried about making mistakes because it’s part of the game.”
