Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has revealed that he pushed senior officials at the club to be active in the transfer market before agreeing to sign a new contract.
The 29-year-old midfielder signed a new deal with the Red Devils last week, following rumors linking him with a move away from Old Trafford.
During the contract negotiations, Fernandes made it clear to United’s co-owner, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, and other top executives that he wanted the club to strengthen the squad to compete at the highest level.
