President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the remodeling and upgrading of the Presidential Wildlife Sanctuary (PWLS) to enhance the practice of conservation in the country.
The Permanent Secretary, State House, Tijjani Umar, disclosed this on Thursday, December 15, in Abuja, while receiving a delegation of wildlife experts from Zimbabwe to the State House.

The wildlife experts are on a week-long assessment tour of the PWLS, formerly known as the State House zoo.

Patience Tilley-Gyado, Assistant Director, Information, stated that Umar outlined the importance of safeguarding the wildlife in the seat of government for recreational purposes, rehabilitation, research and knowledge sharing during the meeting.
