President Muhammadu Buhari has reacted to the death of Tijjani Ibrahim Kiyawa, candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for the South-West Senatorial District in Jigawa State for the 2023 election.

DAILY REPORT NG earlier reported that Kiyawa died in China.

President Buhari, in a release by Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, on Sunday commiserated with the family of the former lawmaker.

He described the deceased as a “kind and insightful politician who placed the interests of the people he represented above his own.”

According to him, Kiyawa “leaves behind an indelible contribution to the social and economic development of his community and the nation, adding that a good man has been lost.
