The signing of the 2021 Supplementary Appropriation Bill comes barely one month after the Federal Executive Council meeting presided over by President Buhari approved a draft supplementary budget of N895,842,462,917 for the year 2021.

The budget primarily will cater for the procurement of equipment for the country’s military and medical infrastructure as well as COVID-19 vaccines.

Minister of Finance, Zainab Ahmed had in June revealed that the budget aggregates to about N770.60bn and will enhance the capacity of the defense and the security agencies to address current and emerging security challenges in our country.
