President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered the suspension of the Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibrahim Magu.
Magu’s suspension is not far from the ongoing probe by a presidential panel headed by Justice Ayo Salami, as a result of alleged corrupt practices.

Magu is being investigated by the panel over a 22 count allegations as was made public on Monday.
Information gathered from reliable sources confirmed that the embattled EFCC boss has been directed to step down in a bid to not hinder the ongoing investigation.
A formal statement looks set to be issued following his suspension by the country’s presidency.
