Following President Muhamadu Buhari’s directive ordering all ministers vying for any elective office in 2023 to resign, Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, has disclosed what he will do before resigning from his position.

DAILY REPORT NG reported that the President at the Federal Executive Council, FEC, meeting on Wednesday directed cabinet members who have joined the presidential race to resign before Monday 16th of May.

Reacting to the development, Ngige said he has to consult with President Muhamadu Buhari and his constituents before tendering any resignation letter.

Vanguard quoted the minister as saying: “I have no reaction for now because the President said if anyone wants clarifications, the person should meet him.
