As Burna Boy launched into his hit “For My Hand,” Wiegman gasped, “Oh, no way!” and immediately took to the floor.
Players and fans leapt up and sang along.
Wiegman had named Burna Boy’s duet with Ed Sheeran as one of her favorites in 2023, so his surprise appearance felt perfectly timed.
Just days earlier, England had beaten world champions Spain 3-1 on penalties after a 1-1 draw in Switzerland.
Wiegman’s side secured back-to-back European titles.
The palace party kicked off the Lionesses’ nationwide homecoming tour.
Burna Boy’s performance highlighted how music and football now collide in unforgettable ways.
