Burna Boy Wins ‘Best African Act’ at MTV Europe Music Awards

On Sunday, November 13, Nigerian music superstar, Burna Boy received the “Best African Act” crown at the “MTV EMAs” 2022.

The 2022 MTV Europe Music Awards were held at the PSD Bank Dome in Düsseldorf, Germany.

This marks the sixth time the award show is hosted in Germany.

Burna edged other nominees including Ayra Starr (Nigeria), BlackSherif (Ghana), Musa Keys (South Africa), and Zuchu (Tanzania) to the crown following a widely successful 2022.

Another big winner of the night was Nicki Minaj who won the Best Song category with her Super Freaky Girl hit.
